This a reminder that Facilities Management and Rain City Technical will be balancing the Petch Building’s mechanical systems on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
Fans will be tested by cycling them on and off, and workers will be in many spaces taking measurements. Fume hoods will continue to draw, but airflows will be unreliable, so we ask that you refrain from using them during this time.
Over the next few months, we will be wrapping up the building-wide re-balancing with the following schedule and impacts. Except for the restricted areas of the NMR space, technicians will be in and out of most spaces several times during this effort. They have been trained in lab and laser lab safety protocols.
