IODE War Memorial Scholarship

The National Chapter of Canada IODE initiated War Memorial Doctoral Scholarships in 1918 to commemorate Canadians who sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom. 

Applicants must be Canadian citizens and in at least the second year of their doctoral program.  Scholarships valued at $15,000 are awarded to students attending Canadian or Commonwealth universities.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen
  • Hold a first degree from a Canadian university
  • Be enrolled in at least the second year of a doctoral program
  • Be studying in Canada or within the Commonwealth

This scholarship is open to students, regardless of gender, in any field of study.
