Twelve thousand journalists in 90 countries find their next research stories on EurekAlert!, a platform run by the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Since July 2025, UVic has ramped up our activity on EurekAlert!, sharing news releases, expert Q&As and feature stories. Ranging from the  through to an ancient but overlooked seismic fault in the , they’ve been seen tens of thousands of times and picked up by journalists around the world.

Our engagement with EurekAlert! supports Aspiration 2030’s Societal Impact action #8: “Increase our capacity to communicate research successes and strengths in real time to broad audiences.”
