Lorene Kennedy Field Course Award*
One or more awards are given to offset additional costs required for field-based courses offered by the School of Environmental Studies or the Restoration of Natural Systems Program. Awards are given to full-time or part-time undergraduate students who are declared majors or minors in the School of Environmental Studies, graduate students in the School of Environmental Studies and students in the Restoration of Natural Systems program. Approval of the recipient(s) will be made by the Senate Committee on Awards upon the recommendation of the School of Environmental Studies.

Eligibility
In-Course scholarships, awards, medals and prizes are offered to undergraduate students who have completed a minimum of 12.0 units for credit, of which 10.5 units are graded using the standard nine point scale, in two of the three terms of study in the previous academic year (May to April). In-course scholarships, awards and prizes are awarded in the subsequent winter session (September to April).
How to apply
Application-required scholarships and awards require students to submit either a paper or online application as well as supporting documentation. In order to apply for scholarships offered online, students must complete the in-course scholarship application, available through Online tools. The online application for students currently attending is open April 1-May 31. Any supporting documentation required for the online application must be submitted by email to incourse@uvic.ca by May 31.
