About Lindsey Schneider
Lindsey Schneider is a queer Indigenous (Turtle Mountain Chippewa) scholar who grew up in the Pacific Northwest. Her research focuses on settler colonialism's impact on the environment and the diverse ways in which Indigenous peoples in the US and Canada have navigated legal and political barriers in order to sustain their relationships with land and water. Her work draws from Indigenous studies, environmental history, political ecology, queer theory and fisheries science to better understand the politics of co-management and possibilities for decolonization in environmental management policy and practice.Publications
