About Paris

Paris obtained her BSc in Civil Engineering from McGill University and her PhD in Biomechanics from the University of Calgary. The focus of her PhD was knee biomechanics specifically measuring changes in mechanical stress following ligament injury using fibre optic sensors and the effects of this change on articular cartilage health. Other research interests include head, neck and spine biomechanics, imaging studies, biomedical instrumentation and engineering education. Paris teaches MECH and BME courses on topics including solid mechanics, biomedical imaging, the BME MENG technical project and instrumentation.
