Equity committees at UVic
Across UVic, equity committees are dedicated to integrating the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion in the unit and faculty as well as supporting the university’s Equity Action Plan. Equity committees engage in varied and meaningful work. This includes:
- supporting units to develop and reach their equity goals
- bringing equity concerns to the attention of leadership
- initiating projects to embed and advance equity in their unit
- advocating for embedding equity in all areas of campus culture and processes
