Ray and Marilyn Jones Undergraduate Award for Single Parents
Ray Jones faced a number of challenges that led him to leave school after Grade 9. However, even in the early 1950s, securing gainful employment without a high school diploma proved difficult. With the encouragement and unwavering support of his wife, Marilyn, Ray returned to night school to complete his high school education. Marilyn played a pivotal role, working as a nurse and caring for their children, providing Ray with the opportunity to pursue his studies. Ultimately, Ray completed both high school and post-secondary education and went on to become a successful mortgage manager in Calgary and subsequently a real estate appraiser in Vancouver and 樱花影视. He also obtained his real estate license. Ray’s accomplishments and success would not have been possible without Marilyn’s steadfast support.
