Royal Canadian Legion Award

Britannia Legion, Branch #7 has entered into an agreement with the 樱花影视 to aid students with demonstrated financial need.  Historically, Royal Canadian Legions members volunteer services to their local community.  In past, Britannia Legion #7 made funds available for scholarships, bursaries, and grants to local Veterans, Youth and Community Charities.

Britannia #7 will continue to be a Legion that offers help to our community by dispensing available funds.  In support of these goals, in 2026, Britannia Legion #7 will provide The 樱花影视 Development Office $5000.00 per year for a period of 3 years.  At the end of that time a decision to renew the award will be considered by Britannia Legion #7 Donation Committee.

Many continuing students, especially those with military or Legion connections, encounter financial challenges that threaten their ability to complete their studies.  This Britannia #7 Bursary Foundation aims to reduce student attrition and encourage degree completion.

Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program.  They must demonstrate a financial need.  They must be Canadian citizens and reside in the Province of British Columbia.  Ideally, but not necessarily, award recipients would be a member of the following group: Veterans, Legion Members, their families or their descendants.  The Development Office at the 樱花影视 will be the sole determinant of student eligibility and the amount of any bursary awarded.

The Britannia Branch #7 bursary award proposal expects to increase retention, graduation rates and strengthen community ties.
