The Annual Medieval Conference will be held on February 7, 2026.

Registration information for 2026

You can register for the conference through .
There will be two tours this year, one on the Friday before and the second on the Sunday after, these tours are free and do not require conference registration to attend.

Adults: $35.00
Current UVic Students: $10.00 (please email us to register)
School age (19 and under): Free (please register ) 

Ticket price includes GST, fees and two refreshment breaks.

We are also excited to announce that there will be 2 tours right here in 樱花影视 on the Friday before and the Sunday afterwards. These two tours are free, but require a separate registration as space is limited. Both will be hosted by our Medieval Studies instructor, Dr. Michael Reed.

On Friday, Feb 6th we will have a tour of the Church of Our Lord, Pioneer Square, and Christchurch Cathedral. The tour will start at 11:00, and everyone will be walking from one location to the next.

On Sunday, Feb 8th we will have a tour of the Ross Bay Cemetary. The tour will start at 11:00.

Both tours are weather dependant, and may conculde earlier if weather is poor.

This year will be focused on recreating and hands on experiences, in-person is recomended but all talks in the main hall will be available to view online. These talks include:

9:30 - Re-creating Medieval York (online talk from York, UK)

10:15 - Historical Combat Collective (demo and talk)

1:00 - Medieval Falconry and Hawking

2:30 - Ale Making

3:00 - Byzantium after Byzantium (Lansdowne speaker)
