Racial Justice Program

The Racial Justice Program for Black Law Students (RJP) is funded by a . 

Since 2024, the RJP committee expanded and enhanced educational supports, professional development and wellness resources for Black Law students at the UVic Faculty of Law.

The program committee is committed to enhancing learning, promoting wellness and improving Black student retention in the legal profession. The RJP collaborates with stakeholders both within and outside the Law school to develop programming to reduce barriers for Black law students.

Our priorities

  • to deliver academic, professional development and wellness programming to students
  • to build a strong foundation for the long-term future of the program by developing a comprehensive program of academic, professional development and wellness supports for students
