Environmental Law Centre (ELC)
The ELC Society is a non-profit that runs Canada’s first environmental law clinic. For nearly 20 years, the ELC has supported community groups, conservation organizations and First Nations across B.C., offering legal help, promoting environmental law reform and educating the public on environmental issues.

CAPI is a UVic research centre that connects scholars across the Asia-Pacific through events, conferences and collaborative projects. Since 1988, it has served as a key bridge between UVic and the region.

Animals & Society Research Initiative (ASRI)
ASRI is a research group at UVic that explores how society views and treats animals. It brings together students, faculty, staff and community members to critically examine human-animal relationships from a variety of perspectives.

The 樱花影视 Colloquium on Political, Social and Legal Theory is a forum where faculty and students discuss key political, social and legal ideas. Each year, 6 leading theorists visit UVic to share their latest research in intensive seminars.
