Biography

Rebecca Bingley joined the school of nursing as an assistant teaching professor in the nurse practitioner program in January 2023, after teaching as a sessional instructor since January 2022. Rebecca's nursing background is in pediatric critical care and cardiac surgery, where she spent 8 years working in Ontario and British Columbia. After completion of her Master’s in Nursing-Nurse Practitioner Degree in 2018, she worked in her local community providing primary care and mental health and addictions services to vulnerable populations.

Rebecca's research thus far has focused on identifying health disparities and establishing pre-operative guidelines for refugee children with heart disease, as well as focusing on early career nurse practitioner training, integration, and transition to practice.
