If you’re a new undergraduate student and have questions about the start of your program, email our student adviser. Graduate students can reach out to our graduate education coordinator.

Orientation
Undergraduate students
We host annual online orientations for Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students specific to each college partner site (Aurora College, College of the Rockies, Selkirk College) during the first week of January. An in-person orientation also occurs at that time for incoming BSN students from Camosun College.
Graduate students
Required orientation for master's of nursing students: June 22, 2026
All incoming MN students are required to attend the orientation session on Monday, June 22, 2026. Contact gradnurs@uvic.ca for more information.
The Faculty of Graduate Studies and the welcome new graduate nursing students starting their studies in September. UVic Orientation will email students with program information starting in July.
The School of Nursing hosts an in-person orientation in mid-June, which all graduate students are required to attend. Online orientation activities also occur during June and July.
